Property Description
A typical traditional Alpujarran house located in the small village of Atalbeitar in the La Taha municipio. From the village car park it´s just a short walk down the calle to reach this quiet house.
As you enter the ground floor there is a utility area with a washing machine and hot water heater,a guest bedroom at the far end, and a WC tucked under the staircase up to the first floor. Now you can see the beautifully renovated ceilings in this house, clean preserved chestnut beams and alfarjías, topped by local slates. Facing you is the kitchen and dining area, traditionally tiled and with plenty of storage, a gas cooker, and electric fridge. To your right a seating area leading to double doors out onto the small juliet balcony.
From here we move into the lounge with a day bed, good quality woodburning stove, tables and chair. Throughout the house are a number or moorish álcoves´, giving the house a sense of place. The main bathroom is also on this floor with WC, hand basin and bath/shower, again, traditionally tiled.
Moving up to the top floor we find the spacious master bedroom. Here there is access on to the large roof terrace with views south over towards Sierra Mecina.
